A fully self contained cottage set amongst 5 acres of magnificent private gardens, featuring a gazebo perched over the large lake, where you can enjoy meals or feed the ducks.

Inside the cottage you'll find an inviting sitting room, warmed by a gas log fire, TV, DVD, antique table and fully equipped kitchen. The spa room has a double oval spa, stocked with an assortment of bath crystals, bubble bath and king size fluffy towels. The separate bathroom has a shower and vanity. Full continental breakfast provisions are provided along with Port and hand made chocolates

Take a stroll after dark when the fairy lights in both gazebos, the bridge, the 40 metre long tunnel of Blue Clematis and the mingling of the perfumes transform the garden into a magical wonderland.

The sunroom has 180° views looking onto the meandering pathways through the gardens, framed by the majestic Dandenongs. Yet you are only minutes walk from shops and restaurants.

The large bore fed lake is home to ducks, trout, yellow belly, yabbies and tortoises, and many water birds. Take the swing bridge to the small island; a wonderful spot to sit on the bench seat under the weeping willow reading a book or picnic by one of the 3 wagons.

Listen to the bell birds, the kookaburras laughing and watch the King parrots feed. Mum, Dad and the 2 kids in the resident Hare family are usually seen playing hide and seek at dusk and the early morning.

You can hardly believe you are so close to the city in this oasis setting; the world and its worries seem a lifetime away. A great place to stop time and recharge your batteries-medicine for the soul.

The garden has an ever changing beauty to share no matter what time of year you visit. Lakeside Cottage is perfectly positioned at the foot of the Dandenongs, convenient to take in the old world charm of the coffee shops and historical sites of the Dandenongs or spend a day sampling the best of the Yarra Valley Wineries or Healesville Sanctuary to name just a few of the world renowned local attractions.

Idyllic picturesque settings throughout the gardens are suitable for wedding ceremonies and photographs with the convenience of the honey moon cottage. The well appointed self contained cottage is ideally suited for romantic getaways, or for overseas visitors or business guests, wedding anniversaries and birthdays. Sometimes brides give their Mum and Dad a "thankyou" night.
